Daniel Zier was born in Miami, Florida and his parents moved to Key Largo before he turned one. He grew up fishing the full stretch of the Keys from Dry Tortugas up to Miami. He's had his Captain's License for over five years now and has always owned his own boat. He grew up living in a house on a canal in Key Largo that made for very easy access to the blue water. His parents took the time to take him fishing almost every day after school and on the weekends ever since he was only a few years old.
What is most important to Daniel Zier is that fishing is not just a job… it is what he loves to do. He goes fishing even on his days off. If you would have asked him when he was ten what he wanted to do when he grew up, he would have told you that he wanted to be a charter boat Captain.
